FAQs Part-Time
Maids
1. Who are our people?
They are mostly middle-aged Singaporean women/PRs in their 40s or early 50s who are experienced, honest and hardworking.
2. What if we are not satisfied with her performance?
As we are very selective with our cleaners, about 90% of our clients are happy with our service. However, as a back-up service, we provide a
guarantee period of up to a year should there be a need for a replacement. |
| |
| |
3. Why do
I have to pay the Agency Fee? |
| |
This is the
only fee that you need to pay for our service as the
hourly cleaning fee is paid directly to the
cleaner. This fee covers our admin, screening and
transport costs. In addition, you will enjoy a guarantee
period of up to a year for free replacements.
Some cleaning companies charges you a high premium every
month e.g. $280 for 4 sessions per month which is more
than the Agency Fee. |
| |
| |
4. When
do we pay up? |
| |
The Agency
Fee is collected just before the first session of work. |
| |
| |
5. Can we
leave our keys to the cleaner? |
| |
For the
initial periods, we recommend that our client be around to
orientate/supervise the worker. Once you are comfortable
with the person, it is up to your discretion if you want
to leave your keys to her or use another padlock on the
working day. |
| |
| |
6. Do you
take responsibility for your “workers” mistakes or
behaviour? |
| |
We usually
urge our clients to give at least 4
sessions for both parties to adjust to one another. Whilst
every endeavour is made possible in our search to provide
you the best person suitable for the
job, we are, however, not
responsible for her actions or
behaviour. |
| |
| |
7. What
happens in the case of theft? |
| |
To avoid any
misunderstanding, we urge our clients to keep their
valuables (e.g. rings, watches) in a secure place.
However, should there be a serious criminal offence,
the client may want to leave to the hands of the police. |
| |
| |
8. Do you
provide the cleaning agent? If no, why? |
| |
No, the
cleaning agent will be provided by our clients. Getting
these cleaning products yourself is much cheaper than for
us to do it for you. You can also personally source the preferred brand/product of
your choice from most supermarkets or DIY shops. |
| |
| |
9. How do
you ensure that the cleaner finishes her chores within the
specified 3 or 4 hours? |
| |
We have a
checklist which provides a general guideline on the duties
to be done. Please refer to Duties under Services &
Rates. |
| |
| |
10.
Instead of on a weekly basis, do you take on alternate
week schedules? |
| |
Ideally, we
encourage our client to take on weekly schedules which is
more economical and your house will be cleaner.
Alternate week jobs will cost about $2
more an hour as the cleaner will not
have any income on the other 2 weeks and
the house requires more cleaning to be done. |

Babysitters
& Confinement Nannies |
| |
| |
11. Can
the babysitter come to my place? |
| |
In
most cases, our client’s babies
are left at the babysitter’s
place. It is more economical as
she is able to do some
housework at her own convenience etc.
However, we can customize your request by
asking the babysitter to go to your place
but the babysitter’s fee will
be about 100% higher and her
meals will be provided you. |
| |
| |
12. Does
the babysitter have other young children in her house? |
| |
Most
of the babysitters are in their late 30s
or 40s and her children are already in schools. A
younger babysitter will probably have younger children at
home. |
| |
| |
13. How
flexible are the babysitter’s hours? Does she charge for
overtime? |
| |
Her working
hours are between 11-12 hours daily. If there are regular
overtime, we recommend that you pay her about
$2/hr. Childcare centre also charge overtime beyond
7pm. |
| |
| |
14. Are
your Confinement Nannies more expensive than others? |
| |
Unlike
others, our Confinement Nannies are all locals or PRs. You will have a chance to interview your Nanny
prior to commencement date. Our charges are almost
on par with the Malaysian nannies. With Malaysian nannies,
you do not get a chance to meet them. You will also need
to pay a levy of $250, which does not give you much
savings after all. |
